2013 Renault Trafic with reoccurring DPF Faults.
After having the DPF removed from the vehicle and cleaned twice in the last 6 months the driver turned to the DPF Doctor for help.
After carrying out our pre clean checks and analysing the live data we found various issues with the system as to why it kept blocking up.
Only after carrying out the pre clean diagnostics to make sure there are no underlying faults and that the system is operating correctly would we clean the DPF.
There is no point in cleaning the DPF without rectifying the underlying problem.
Pre clean the pressure was 41 @ idle and 180@ 2500.
Post clean the pressure had been reduced to 4 @ idle and 45 @ 2500.
We also added a JLM Extreme Clean to the fuel to clean out the induction system which had soot build up due to back pressure.
After a week of driving we had asked the driver to return to have the levels checked again.
Idle was 4mb
2500 was 42 mb.
Customer also reported it was like driving a different van.
We recommend the customer adds a JLM Regen plus to his fuel every couple of months to help the system along.
