DPF Cleaning Falkirk Stirlingshire.
2014 Nissan Juke 1.5 DCI.
This Nissan had been referred to us by the local Nissan dealership to save the customer money.
The engine management light was on due to high soot accumulation in the DPF. It was showing fault code P2002 along with a soot loading of 55%.
The dealership had tried to carry out a service regeneration of the DPF but due to a high back pressure this had failed and the software wouldn’t allow them to go any further.
They asked us to take a look as a new DPF is £1200 + fitting charges and VAT. Meaning the bill would’ve topped £2000.
After checking the vehicle over we carried out our 3 stage clean which reduced the soot down to around 20% and the back pressure from 290 to 20 @ 2500rpm.
We also replaced the air filter as it was particularly blocked and changed the oil & filter due to soot working its way back into the oil system.
Afterwards we carried out a road test where the vehicle was able to regenerate the DPF this then reduced to soot loadings down to 0%.
We added a JLM Regen Plus to the fuel system to help further cleaning.
Total bill was £380 saving our customer around £1600.
