As the Weather gets colder the harder your vehicles DPF and its related components have to work. This was demonstrated by another taxi this week with a number of faults logged and physical symptoms shown such as non starting / excessive smoke/ maximum temperature warning & DPF warning lights along with limp mode.
This had been to a previous garage for the same faults so a fresh approach was taken using our in depth diagnostic checks & tests to identify the correct fault for a first time fix.
After a trip to the local dealer to collect the required part ( to save further downtime wasting another day ) we fitted & re calibrated the item.
Then to confirm it would continue to be fault free a data logged 50 mile road test was performed after applying some jlm extreme clean to the fuel system as this will help restore all components taking into account the vehicles mileage and work application.
The final result – a fault free smoke free taxi ready to go back to work the same day! … and for £££’s less than they expected.
