This Focus came into our Ashington HQ today in limp mode and DPF fault code P242F. Our DPF system assessment showed that the DPF pressure and soot accumulation was excessive. On consulting the customer he informed us that he does a lot short journeys meaning that it is not ideal for the DPF . We checked the car over and were happy that all we needed to do was a 3 stage DPF Clean so this was a nice simple one. The car was ba…ck on the road within a few hours and we gave the customer some sound advise on how to look after the DPF.
It was nice to know that the Ford main dealership that looks after this car had recommended a visit to The DPF Doctor rather than fitting a replacement DPF.
